Privacy Policy

Effective June 12, 2026 · Last updated June 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how the TrackDyno iOS app ("TrackDyno", "we", "us") handles information about you. It applies to your use of the app and the TrackDyno website.

Short version: TrackDyno does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data to us or any third party. Everything your phone measures is processed on the device and saved to your local storage and (if you turn it on) your private iCloud database — both of which only you can access. We do not run servers. We do not have user accounts. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

What the app reads from your phone

To produce the timing, dyno, and lap-session results that are the whole point of the app, TrackDyno reads the following data from your iPhone — only while the app is in use, unless background location is explicitly enabled by you for a lap session in progress:

What we do with it

All sensor data is processed entirely on your device, in real time, by the app code. The outputs (a "Run" record with its associated samples, lap markers, vehicle profile, and derived statistics) are written to one of two places, both of which only you can access:

We do not transmit any of this data to ourselves or to any third party. We do not host any servers. We have no way to read your data even if we wanted to.

Third-party data flows

The app makes outbound network requests to Apple WeatherKit for current atmospheric conditions (temperature, pressure, humidity, condition) at your current location. These requests are made directly from your device to Apple's servers; we do not proxy or log them. Apple's own privacy policy and the WeatherKit attribution apply to that data flow: developer.apple.com/weatherkit/data-source-attribution.

TrackDyno does not use any other third-party SDKs, analytics frameworks, advertising networks, crash-reporting services, or attribution providers in its current version (1.0).

What we do NOT collect

Apple's required permissions

To function, the app requests these system permissions from iOS. You may revoke any of them at any time in Settings → TrackDyno; the corresponding feature simply stops working:

Children's privacy

TrackDyno is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. If a parent or guardian believes their child has used TrackDyno and they would like to confirm that no data has been collected, contact us at the address below.

Your rights

Because no personal data leaves your device, there is no "data about you" for us to export, correct, or delete on our end. To delete your data: delete the app from your device and (if you used iCloud sync) delete the TrackDyno data from your iCloud Drive in Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → TrackDyno.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as GDPR (EU), UK GDPR, CCPA / CPRA (California), or similar. Those rights generally require us to provide, correct, or delete personal data on request. As noted above, we do not hold any personal data, so there is nothing on our end to provide, correct, or delete.

Changes to this policy

If we ever add features that would change what data flows where — for example, an optional cloud leaderboard, subscription billing through Apple, or third-party telemetry — we will update this policy with a new effective date and surface the change in the app the next time you open it.
